Claudio Brufola was born in Rome, Italy and has worked always as a freelance photographer.
He is a journalist and a member of the Italian National Journalist Association
He has worked or cooperated for several years with the most important Italian companies and several multinationals as corporate photographer for communication purposes, among which:
TELECOM ITALIA, BULGARI SPA, ERICSSON, MONTBLANC ITALIA - DUPONT ITALIA, ABBOTT DIAGNOSTIC, ORACLE, SOCIETE GENERALE, TOTALFINA–ELF, CHEVROLET ITALIA, WIND TELECOMUNICAZIONI SPA, JOHNSON'S & JOHNSON'S, GRUPPO EDITORIALE L'ESPRESSO LA REPUBBLICA, ENI SPA, FERROVIE DELLO STATO.
In 2009 for Ferrovie dello Stato (Italian railway company) he produced the images for the official brochure used to launch Italian high speed trains.
For Eni ( integrated energy company) he worked closely with the external communication department, the corporate website team and editorial initiatives.
For ENI’sWay he recently published two monographs: one on China continent’s reality and its overwhelming economic development, the other on the path of Siberian gas to Europe for which he portrayed the Siberian gas fields belonging to the colossus GAZPROM.
For the Italian press agency AGI he carries out photo-essays from all over the world. Among these, the latest works published in 2008 and 2009 address social and productive aspects of Congo, Algeria, Russia, China, Kazakhstan, Venezuela and Siberia.
He publishes photos on “OIL JOURNAL and OIL BOOK” magazine.
His last publication in January 2010, a report on the Republic of Venezuela, for Oil Book..
The latest publication on “L’Espresso” magazine is a photo reportage on the energy town Novj Urengoj in Siberia.
He has edited two photographic books: “Foundry of the ancient bells of Rome” and “Chinese shadows in motion”
Claudio Brufola is the owner of a communication agency called EBlu Comunicazione.His work is testified by the most important photographic agencies in Italy: Agi, Sintesi, Imagoeconomica.
He has been a member of many juries of photographic Awards and has hold workshops in the best schools and the most prestigious Photo Festivals in Italy, in Europe and in China, the last as judge, China International Press Photo Contest 2010 (CHIPP)
He is in FIOF board, - International Foundation of Photography - Orvieto Italy.
